Return

WHAT IF I WANT TO RETURN WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED?

We now allow Sunday and Holiday returns.  Normally, we schedule all of our returns by appointment and when the customer returns the RV, we check it over with them. This allows us to check for damage, missing items, tank levels, etc.

However, if the customer were to return the RV when we're closed (on the evening before their appointment, for example), they are respons
ible for any damage to the RV or missing items that we may find when we check the RV in the next business day.  WE DO NOT REFUND FOR ANY DAYS NOT USED.

If you are returning after business hours:
* Do not open all of the compartments as mentioned above.  Instead, please lock any compartment that has items in it (hoses, generator, propane, etc.).
* Do not leave the refrigerator on.
* Please turn off the battery disconnect located next to the entry door.
* If you are returning a travel trailer, please put the hitch and sway bars in the underbelly compartment.
* Please take a photo of each side of the RV and text it to us (so that we know where it is parked).  Our text number = 913-856-8145.

* You will need to put the keys in the the night drop (fill out the envelope with your name and RV number). The night drop is a black box under the Service awning near the Service entrance door (see photo).

WHY DOES IT TAKE 7 to 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO GET MY REFUND BACK?

Our Rental Agent will do an initial check-in (check the odometer, generator hours, check for items, etc.). Usually within a week after the return, our Service Department does a more thorough inspection.  Once Service completes their inspection, we will start processing your return.

Additional Return Information

THE RV MUST BE RETURNED IN THE SAME CONDITION AS AT DEPARTURE

If the RV is returned in satisfactory conditions, your deposit will be refunded. If you paid by credit card, the deposit will be returned to the card you supplied within 10 to 15 business days. If you paid with a check or cash, your deposit will be returned with a company check within 14 to 20 business days. If there was damage to the rental, your refund will be held longer, and could take up to 6 months.

CLEANING NOTE

Interior must be clean. The exterior must be washed (to the best of your ability), and be free of bugs. After you return, the cleaning of a clean unit (inside and out) takes our trained team two hours to complete. Any cleaning that takes more than the standard two hours will be a charge to the customer at $50/hour (with a $100 minimum) cleaning charge exceeding the two hours.  The Phillips 66 across the street from our location has a truck wash you can use.  Be sure to use the larger bay.

PARKING VIOLATIONS, DRIVING VIOLATIONS & TOLL CHARGES

If any customer gets any parking violations, driving violations or toll charges, we will notify you by text and charge the card on file for the amount of the violation.

ITEMS LEFT IN THE RENTAL UNIT

If any item(s) left in the rental, you will be notified. Any items that are not picked up within 2 weeks (14 days) will be disposed of. Olathe Ford RV Center is not responsible for any lost/unfound/missing items left in the rental unit after its return.

PRIOR TO RETURNING

Upon return of the RV, Renter agrees to fill the fuel tank and remove all personal items and debris from the RV. Failure to fill the fuel tank will result in a $50 charge, plus the cost of fuel.
