Returning Instructions

🕘IMPORTANT RETURN TIME REMINDER

Your RV is scheduled to be returned anytime between 9AM and 8PM. (If you choose to return the RV after 3PM, there will be nobody in the office to assist you with the return. The RV will be checked in the next business day.) IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 8PM AND THE GATES ARE LOCKED, DO NOT LEAVE THE RV OUTSIDE THE GATES. If the RV is towed as a result of being left outside of our gates, the renter will be responsible for any fees incurred. If the RV is damaged as a result of being left outside of our gates, the renter will be responsible for any damage fees.

🧹RETURNING / CLEANING

  • Upon return of the RV, the fuel tank must be full. Failure to fill the fuel tank will result in a $100 fee, plus the cost of fuel.
  • The INTERIOR must be cleaned, with personal items and trash removed. (If needed, there is a dumpster over by the propane / dump station.)
  • The EXTERIOR must be washed and be free of bugs. Here are two options for the exterior cleaning:
    • OPTION 1 - ON THE GO TRUCK WASH, 32501 W 200th Street, Edgerton, KS 66021: There is a truck wash at the exit South of us on I-35. (I have been told they may not wash RVs on Sundays.)
    • OPTION 2 - PHILLIPS 66, 29550 W 191st St, Gardner, KS 66030: There is a truck wash at the Phillips 66 across the highway from us. (I have been told this car wash can be greasy and is often out of soap.)

Note: Our cleaning team spends about 2 hours cleaning a properly returned RV. If excessive cleaning is required (interior or exterior), additional time will be charged at $50/hour, with a $100 minimum.

🅿️WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO PARK

When returning your RV, please do not block the propane tank, the dump station or the main drive. Do not park under the awning or in front of any Service Bays. (I know it’s tempting to go back to where your walkthrough started, but your RV’s return home is actually on the other side of the building.)

👉 When you pull in to the lot, pull around to the RIGHT (North) side of the building for drop-off. Please don’t block the propane tank or the dump station—those are in high demand!

FINAL CHECK BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RV:

  • Open all slides – This helps us get everything inspected efficiently.
  • Open and check all outside compartments to double-check that nothing’s been left behind. The one compartment you don’t open is the one you left your items in. (Please note: We are not responsible for lost or missing items.) Be sure to close them after you’ve checked for your items.
  • Open all interior drawers and cabinets. Again, this helps us make sure you don't forget anything important like snacks... or your phone charger. The one drawer you don’t open is the one you left your items in.
  • Turn OFF the battery disconnect switch (usually located next to the entry door).
  • Turn OFF the refrigerator. Some models have a separate power switch. (If you don’t turn off the fridge, the battery will drain and cause issues with the rental return, which could result in taking longer than normal to process.)
  • DO NOT LOCK THE DEADBOLT. You can lock the RV, but please don’t lock the deadbolt.
  • If your rental RV has a Smart TV, please remember to log out of all streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.). We are not responsible if future renters use your accounts.
  • Return TV remotes to their original location.
  • If you rented the external generator, put it inside the RV. Please do not leave it on the ground outside of the RV. (Ashley will more than likely be checking in the rental and she can’t lift the generator. 😊)

IF RETURNING AFTER HOURS, DO THE ABOVE - AND:

  • Lock any compartments that contain our items (hoses, propane, etc.).
  • Take a clear photo of each side of the RV once parked.
  • Text the photos to us at: 913-856-8145 (along with any issues/damage you had)
  • If you experienced any issues, damage, or concerns during your rental, please include them in the text message you send with your return photos. (Once the RV is checked in, I’m unable to add additional notes to the rental return paperwork.)
  • Drop the RV keys in the night drop box located under the Service awning near the Service entrance door. Fill out an envelope for the keys and put in the spot that says “Insert Envelope Here”. Be sure to push the envelope all the way in. (See photos on the back of this page for reference.)

RETURNING A TRAVEL TRAILER:

  • Please disassemble the hitch and sway bars and place them in the underbelly storage compartment. Be mindful not to scratch or damage the vinyl flooring inside the compartment. (Ashley will more than likely be checking in the rental and she can’t lift the hitch. 😊)
